Laptops For Kids

Laptops for KidsIn today’s world, technology is all around us and even children are becoming more and more surrounded by it. If you’re considering getting your child a laptop, either for school or just for fun, don’t worry there are plenty of choices when it comes to laptops for kids. Before you go out and buy your child a laptop, make sure you know what you are getting first.

If the laptop is mainly for use at school, then you may wish to check with the school first in case they have any requirements or restrictions on what you can get. You don’t want to find out afterwards that the school had rules on what laptop your child could bring and it turns out that the laptop you bought doesn’t fit these rules. Another thing you should also keep in mind is size of the laptop you intend on buying. If your child is bringing it to school everyday, then you’ll probably want to look for something small and portable so that they can actually carry it without any problems. One option, if possible is to get them a netbook. These are smaller than normal laptops and are really easy to carry around. You may also want to remember that since the laptop is going to be at school, you probably won’t want to spend too much money on it in case anything happens to it. The last thing you want is to spend $1500 on a laptop and your child comes home one day saying it got stolen.

However, if the laptop is going to be something that will only be used at home then you can pretty much get anything. Since your child won’t have to carry it around with them, you can get a laptop of any size, even a really big one. One thing to remember though is that unless your child is old enough to be responsible with the laptop, you may wish to wait before buying them an expensive one. Kids can be messy and accidents do happen. You don’t want to buy an expensive laptop only to have juice accidentally poured onto the keyboard.

One final thing to remember when looking at laptops for kids is that you want to buy something that is built well. Kids can be rough with their belongings, so you want a laptop that can withstand some of this abuse. If you make sure to take the time and carefully choose right laptop for your child, you’ll save yourself a lot of grief in the future.

Gaming Laptops Under 1000

If you are looking for a laptop to play games on but don’t have a lot of money for a really fancy one, don’t worry, you can still find gaming laptops under $1000. While they may not be as powerful and fancy looking as the more expensive ones, they can still handle new games without too much trouble. For under $1000, there are a lot of laptops that you can choose from, but not all of them are of gaming quality. Here are a few gaming laptops that are under $1000 that I can recommend.

ASUS G53SW-XA2

This is one of the best gaming laptops under $1000. Even though it doesn’t have a quad core processor like some of the others, it still has an Intel i5 dual core processor and 6GB of memory. This combination still brings with it a lot of power and will be more than able to play the games you want. To top it off, this laptop comes with an Nvidia GTX 460M graphics card, a high end graphics card that you won’t find on many laptops for this price. It also comes with a 15.6″ full HD screen so that you can play all your games in high definition.

Lenovo Y570 08622KU

If you are looking for something a bit cheaper than the ASUS, this is not a bad choice either. Rather than a dual core i5 processor, this one comes with a quad core i7, but only 4GB of memory. Even though it has less memory, the quad core processor brings with it a good amount of processing power. It comes with an Nvidia GT 555M graphics card, which is decent and should be able to handle new games reasonably well. Unfortunately, even though this laptop has a 15.6″ screen, it is not a full HD display and has a maximum resolution of 1366×768.

Acer Aspire AS5750G-6496

The Acer is the cheapest gaming laptop mentioned here and is still pretty decent if you don’t want to spend too much money. It has an Intel i5 dual core processor and 4GB of memory, which will be able to handle most games without too much difficulty. As for the graphics card, it comes with an Nvidia GT 540M, which is not quite as powerful as the one on the Lenovo, but you’ll still be able to play games with it. Just like the other two laptops, this one comes with a 15.6″ display, but only has the same maximum resolution as the Lenovo.

Best Laptops For College Students

If you are heading back to school and trying to find the best laptops for college students, with all the choices out there it can be a daunting task. Many college students don’t have a lot of money to spend on a laptop and want one that can last the whole time they’re in college, which can be at least 3-4 years. On top of that, many of them also carry their laptops around to their classes, so not only does it have to be durable, it has to be portable. Here are some of the laptops that I can recommend for college and are under $1000.

ASUS U46E-RAL5

This 14″ laptop is quite powerful but also portable enough so it’s not too difficult to carry around with you. It has an Intel i5 processor and 8GB of memory, which is more than what you get on the average consumer laptop. On top of that, it comes with a good battery that will last you over seven hours before you have to go and charge it again, which means you can go the whole day without having to plug it in. The only downside to this one is that it only comes with an Intel graphics card, so it won’t be the best laptop for playing games on.

Lenovo Z570-102494U

This is a 15.6″ laptop, which is slightly larger, but has similar specifications to the ASUS U46E-RAL5. It has an Intel i5 processor but only with 6Gb of memory, which is still very good. Since this laptop is a bit bigger, it’s going to be a bit heavier and cumbersome. Unlike other laptops, this one comes with Rapidboot technology which allows it to start up 20 seconds faster than other laptops. The battery life for this one is not nearly as good as the ASUS at only 5 hours, but it is still relatively decent. A nice feature that it comes with is Veriface Facial Recognition Technology. This allows you to lock and unlock your computer using your face as the password. One downside is that just like the ASUS, the Lenovo also only comes with an Intel graphics card.

Sony VAIO VPC-EG13FX

This is another 14″ laptop and also has an Intel i5 processor like the other two laptops, but this one only comes with 4GB of memory. Even though it has the least amount of ram, it still performs relatively well compared to the other two. This laptop also has decent battery life, lasting around six hours. If you have a Playstation 3 and enjoy using it, this may be the laptop for you. It comes with remote keyboard software to allow you to play games, surf the web, or enter text from your laptop onto the Playstation. The only downside with this laptop is that it has a plastic casing, which makes it a bit bulkier than the laptops with aluminum casings.

Laptops For Students

Laptops for StudentsWhen looking for laptops for students, there are a number of things you should take into consideration before making a purchase. These considerations include what kind of work is going to be done on it, portability, and of course durability. By making sure you understand fully what kind of laptop you require, you’ll save yourself a lot of headache and frustration in the future.

One of the most important questions that needs answered before you can go and buy a laptop for school is what kind of work is going to be done on it. If all you are doing is writing papers, checking email, and surfing the internet, you don’t need anything fancy. A basic laptop is just fine for that. However, if you are going to go into graphics design and/or video editing, you’ll definitely need something more powerful. You’ll need a laptop with more processing power, more memory, and a better graphics card so that you can actually get your projects done on time.

Portability is also a very important when looking at laptops for students. If all you’re going to do is leave the laptop on your desk at home or in your dorm, you can go ahead and get a bigger sized laptop. However, if you plan on bringing it around with you to all your classes, then you should get something that’s smaller. In terms of size, anything that’s 14″ and smaller would be reasonable to carry around with you and won’t feel like a ton of bricks. Keep in mind that if you get a tiny netbook, even though it’s ultra portable and hardly weighs anything, you may have trouble reading what’s on the screen.

Finally, you want to make sure that the laptop is durable enough to survive the wear and tear that comes with school. Before you buy anything, if possible, go and see what the laptop is like in person. This way, you can try it out and find out how well it’s built. If it feels cheap and flimsy, it’s probably a good idea to look for something else. Since this laptop is for school and you’re likely going to use it a lot, make sure that whichever laptop you choose doesn’t have any issues with overheating. This is mainly because if it does overheat, there is a good chance you may have damaged some of the components inside.

As you can see, there are a few things to keep in mind before you go and buy a laptop for school. You have to make sure that the laptop you end up choosing can do what you require it to do and won’t fall apart after a short period of time. Fortunately, there are plenty of choices when it comes to laptops for students and there is definitely more than one out there that is suitable for you.

Affordable Gaming Laptops

If you are looking for a gaming laptop but don’t have the money for the high end ones, there are still affordable gaming laptops available for you to choose from. These laptops can cost around $1000 or less and when compared to the fancier high end ones, are a lot more affordable. While they may not have the same level of performance, they’re still more than capable of playing most games.

When looking at affordable gaming laptops, there are some things to keep in mind before making a purchase. After all, you want to make sure you get good value for your money. Since nearly all gaming laptops use Intel processors, you should look for one that uses at least an i5 processor. In terms of memory, you should look for at least something that comes with 4GB or more. If you can find a laptop that has 8GB, that’s even better. The most important thing however, is the laptop’s graphics card. You will want something that can run your games without forcing you to turn down all the settings. This is why you should only look at laptops with Nvidia or AMD graphics cards. Anything else may not be allow you to play very many games on it.

Gaming LaptopsIf possible, you also want to be able to see the laptop in person before buying it so you can see how the build quality is. The last thing anyone wants is to buy a laptop only to find that it’s broken after a few months of using it. Another thing you can do is to also read reviews online so that you can hear about other users’ experiences with the laptop you’re interested in. If other people were complaining about it and giving it low ratings, then it’s probably a good idea to look for a different one instead. You want a gaming laptop, not a lemon.

As you can see, affordable gaming laptops do exist and they’re pretty decent for the money you pay. All you need to do is make sure that you understand what you are buying and that it’s something that is reliable. If you don’t need to get one right away, sometimes if you wait and look around you can find some really good deals on gaming laptops. Especially during holiday season, there can be some big discounts on certain laptops and you may find yourself getting an even better gaming laptop than normal for the same price.

Best Gaming Laptops

If you are looking at getting one of the best gaming laptops so that you can play all your games on the highest settings and impress your friends, be prepared to spend good money on it. The top gaming laptops on the market can cost anywhere from around $1000 to well over $2000. With that kind of money, you want to make sure that what you end up buying is worth the price and won’t fall apart on you after a few months of using it. By being aware of what to look for in a gaming laptop, you will be able to find something that is powerful and reliable.

The most important thing to check when looking at the best gaming laptops is the specifications. You want something that is powerful enough to handle any of the newest games on the market without any lag. This is why you need to especially look at the processing power, memory, and graphics card. Gaming LaptopsWhen looking at what processing power is available on the laptop, anything less than an Intel i7 quad-core processor is unacceptable. This is the best processor available for gaming laptops at the moment and is a must if you want a high end gaming laptop. For memory, more is always better, although it does get significantly expensive as you add more. In most cases, 16GB is more than enough, although it is also possible to have 32GB. When looking at graphics cards, you will want to make sure that whatever it is will still be able to handle the newest games a couple years later. If you really want ultra gaming performance, you should consider looking at dual video cards. This is where you have two video cards that are exactly the same and connected together to function as one. By having dual video cards in your laptop, you’ll have double the power of any laptop with just one.

Something that’s just as important as the performance is the reliability. The last thing you want to do is have to send your laptop in to get it repaired because something stopped working. The best gaming laptops not only have lots of power, they also need to be well built. If possible, try to have a look at the laptop in person before you buy it. This way, you can see whether it feels flimsy or solid. You can also look for reviews of the laptop online so that you can avoid purchasing a lemon.

As you can see, when looking for the best gaming laptops, there are a few things you need to take into consideration before you go out purchase one. It needs to perform well and handle all the newest games without trouble and it has to be reliable. Once you find one that fits those criteria, you’ll have one of the best laptops around and you can show it off to your friends.

Gaming Laptops

If you are looking for a laptop but still want to be able to play games on it, then you should consider looking at gaming laptops. These laptops are built with the intention of the user being able to playing lots of games on them. This means that they usually have better performance and in the case of the more expensive ones, may even look fancier than the average laptop.

Gaming LaptopsOne of the most important things that separates gaming laptops from ordinary consumer laptops is performance. These laptops will always have better processing power, more RAM, and of course better graphics. With most ordinary laptops, you’d be lucky to be able to play current games with the lowest settings possible. Depending on which gaming laptop you settle for, you should be able to play most games on at least medium settings without any major lag problems. One of the main reasons for this is the fact that these laptops come with a better quality graphics card, usually from Nvidia or AMD. Without one of these graphics cards, you’re going to find that a lot of your games will just barely run or won’t run at all. This is because the graphics card on the laptop is either the bare minimum requirement for the game or it’s unsupported, which is usually the case if you have an Intel graphics card.

Another thing that you may find with gaming laptops is that they tend to look more powerful than normal laptops. They can come with LEDs all over the laptop and that allow it to glow when you are using it. A backlit keyboard is also usually included as well. In addition to having a glowing effect, the laptop itself may also look bigger and extravagant than ordinary ones. This sometimes has the ability to make the person using it to stand out from the rest of the crowd and look more sophisticated.

Just like all other laptops, gaming laptops come in all different sizes. They can be small and easy to carry around or they can be big and more suited to being left at home. Note that there is always a trade-off when you choose one size over the other. The smaller ones, while easier to carry around will have a smaller screen and may make playing certain games more difficult if you can’t see everything you would like. The larger ones, while having a bigger screen and allowing you to see things in greater detail, are a lot more cumbersome and heavy.

As you can see, if you are really into playing games on your computer, then you should consider a gaming laptop rather than just any old laptop. They will actually be able to play the games you want without you having to turn every single display setting to the lowest possible. Some good gaming laptops that you can consider looking at include Dell’s Alienware or ASUS G-series laptops.
